recipe @ home | chia pudding made two ways | four to six ingredients
God does not approve of cooking on the sabbath day.
my son and i like to have chia pudding on sabbaths as i do not turn on the stove or oven to keep this day holy.
i make one for me. i make one special one for my boy who still drinks cow’s milk.
“ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.” (exodus 35:3)
recipe variation #1
makes one serving.
ingredients:
2 cups cashew nut milk @ home
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
instructions:
pour the milk into your favorite bowl or large cup.
while stirring with a whisk, add the chia seeds.
add the cinnamon and vanilla extract.
stir with a whisk again.
let sit for 15 - 20 minutes to let the chia seeds soften and plump up.
recipe variation #2
makes one serving.
ingredients:
1 cup low-fat cow’s milk
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1 heaping tablespoon strawberry jam
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
instructions:
follow the same instructions as in recipe variation #1 but also add the jam and maple syrup.
